With inspiration from nature and technology Travis designs sculptures and landscapes using metal, wood, water, stone, light and objects germain to the piece.
In the late 1970’s Travis conceived an idea for a public water fountain in downtown Aspen Colorado. Travis designed the look and mechanics of the fountain and Nick DeWolf invented the technology that gave the fountain a personality. In the spring of 1980, the fountain came to life as the worlds first computerized dancing fountain. 30 yrs later, it is still an iconic attraction to Aspen residents and visitors alike.
